From February 1, bread will become more expensive in Northern Cyprus
After the establishment of a new minimum wage in Northern Cyprus, basic food products continue to rise in price. Media reports indicate an upcoming increase in bread prices.
According to the publication Kıbrıs Postası, starting from February 1, bread will become 3 lira more expensive. Thus, a loaf of bread, which is currently sold in stores and markets for 12 TL, will cost 15 TL on the shelves.
It is worth reminding that the increase in food prices in Northern Cyprus began after the establishment of a new minimum wage. Previously, prices had already risen for meat, milk, coffee, eggs, and even the famous Turkish bagels, simits.
