A car was stolen from the parking lot of Ercan Airport
A car was stolen from the parking lot of Ercan Airport over the weekend in Northern Cyprus. Surveillance cameras were not operational at the time of the crime.
According to the police press service, unknown car thieves stole a vehicle with the license plate NC 622 from the airport terminal parking lot.
According to the Kıbrıs Postası publication, the owner of the stolen vehicle left the keys inside the car. Relatives of the owner arrived after the car, and upon not finding it in the specified location, they approached parking attendants. Parking attendants assured them that surveillance cameras were working. However, after reporting to the police, it was revealed that the cameras were disabled at the time of the theft.
Later, the car was spotted in the Hamitköy area. Police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
