Aircraft carrying parliamentary delegation aborts take-off due to technical malfunction

An aircraft carrying a parliamentary delegation led by TRNC Assembly Speaker Ziya Öztürkler encountered a technical malfunction that forced the crew to abort take-off twice.
The incident occurred as the delegation was departing abroad. During acceleration on the runway, a warning system activated — the aircraft indicated an error related to the emergency exits. The crew immediately aborted the take-off and returned the aircraft to the parking stand for inspection. After a second unsuccessful attempt, it was decided to change the aircraft.
The delegation included the Speaker of Parliament, his deputies, and general secretaries. According to witnesses, there was brief confusion among passengers and crew members, but the situation was quickly brought under control.
Technical services inspected the aircraft to determine the exact cause of the malfunction. All delegation members are safe, and no injuries were reported. Parliamentary representatives stated that the flight was rescheduled to a later time and that all necessary measures have been taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.
