The TRNC Taekwondo team clinched silver at a tournament in Uzbekistan
The national TRNC Taekwondo team secured second place overall at the "Youth Cup ITF" competition in Uzbekistan.
Over three days, athletes from Northern Cyprus competed in the "Youth Cup ITF" in Fergana. Approximately 500 athletes participated in the tournament.
At the tournament's conclusion, the TRNC team earned 8 gold, 7 silver, and 6 bronze medals, placing second overall in the team standings. The host team emerged as the tournament champion, while China's athletes secured the bronze.
The three-day "Youth Cup ITF" concluded with a final and an award ceremony. The national TRNC Taekwondo team received the "Best Team" award for their organization.
It is anticipated that the athletes will return to the island tomorrow.
