Northern Cyprus will be covered in dust from Africa for a day
The Department of Meteorology in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has issued an emergency warning due to air pollution caused by dust particles brought into the region from North Africa.
According to meteorologists, the warning will take effect from midnight today and last until 18:00 tomorrow, December 21.
"As dust particles are expected to cause air pollution in our region, citizens sensitive to dust are advised to be cautious," the agency stated.
It's worth noting that the last time dusty weather was observed in Northern Cyprus was in early December when fine particles were brought into the country from the Middle East.
