Meteorologists have issued a warning about abnormal heat in Northern Cyprus: weather forecast for June 4th
The TRNC Meteorology Department has alerted residents to abnormal heat conditions. Over the next few days, temperatures are expected to soar to 41°C.
Extremely hot weather is forecasted to linger in the country until June 7th. Thermometer readings will exceed the seasonal norms by 5-7°C. By the weekend, temperatures are anticipated to reach approximately 38-41°C inland and 33-36°C along the coast.
Due to the extreme heat, the public is advised to take precautions against forest and ground fires, heat strokes, and to avoid outdoor work between 12:00 and 16:00 without proper safety measures. Additionally, on Tuesday, June 4th, the region will experience low pressure and hot, humid air. Meteorologists expect clear, slightly cloudy weather with some dust in the atmosphere.
Winds will be from the northwest, with moderate strength. No storms are anticipated for today.
Several meteorological warnings are currently in effect in Northern Cyprus. The risk of natural fires is very high, and the level of ultraviolet radiation is also elevated.
It's recommended not to stay in direct sunlight for more than 15 minutes, particularly between 11:00 and 16:00, without taking necessary precautions.
Furthermore, since June 1st, there has been a dust advisory in the region due to particles from Africa, which will persist until the end of June 6th.
