The Union of Construction Contractors takes responsibility for repairing SOS Children's Village homes in Northern Cyprus
On October 10, 2025, the Union of Turkish-Cypriot Construction Contractors (KTİMB) and the SOS Children's Village Society signed a cooperation protocol in Northern Cyprus. According to the document, the Union assumes responsibility from today for the care, repair, and renovation of the homes in the village.
The protocol covers scheduled maintenance, repair, and reconstruction work of residential buildings on the SOS Children's Village premises. Representatives of both parties noted that from the start of the cooperation, the needs for repair and improvement will be systematically monitored and addressed.
Buğra Akter, Chairman of the SOS Children's Village Society, thanked the Union of Construction Contractors for demonstrating social responsibility and emphasized the importance of regular inspection and repair of the homes to ensure the sustainability of the project.
Cafer Gürdjafer, Chairman of the Union of Construction Contractors, described support for SOS Children's Village as a matter of honor. He stated that the Union’s participation should contribute to the long-term sustainability of the structure and that the work in the project is carried out by staff with a high level of voluntary motivation and attention to children.
