DAÜ Students Take First Places in International Legal English Exam
On September 26, 2025, the results of the international TOLES exam (Test of Legal English Skills) were announced at the Faculty of Law of the Eastern Mediterranean University (DAÜ) in Northern Cyprus.
The exam was conducted at three levels: basic, intermediate, and advanced. According to DAÜ, at the basic level, first place was taken by Gürsu Bengihan, and at the intermediate level, first place was taken by Ece Gömdeniz. The exam results were published by the university.
The announcement notes that the TOLES certificate provides significant opportunities for both students and graduates when seeking employment. Employers consider the certificate as confirmation of professional training in legal English.
For residents in Northern Cyprus, having local students and graduates with such international certificates may increase competitiveness in the labor market and facilitate job search in the legal field both on the island and abroad. Additional information about the results and certificates is available on the university’s official resources.
