Court has remanded suspects in drug trafficking in the TRNC Ukrainians

The suspects in drug trafficking in Northern Cyprus, Ukrainians, will remain in custody for another 8 days. Arrested for 4.5 kilograms of drugs, Alexei Pakholvak, Vladislav Alistratov, and Ruslan Predeyn appeared before the court again.

During the latest court hearing, police representatives stated that in order to determine how the drugs ended up in Northern Cyprus in such quantities, it is planned to conduct a DATA check of the suspects' mobile phones and requested their detention for another 8 days for further investigation. The judge agreed to this decision.

According to the police, in October 2023, a male foreigner under the direction of an unidentified individual found clients on social media and made drug drops in various locations in Kyrenia. This became known to the teams of the Anti-Drug and Contraband Department.

Recall that the operation to detain Alexei Pakholvak was carried out on February 6 after three months of observation. During the search in the apartment of the suspect located on Kurtuluş Street in Kyrenia, a large quantity of various types of drugs was found, such as methadone, cocaine, MDMA, mushrooms, amphetamines, LSD, various strains of marijuana, and hemp oil. In total, about 4.5 kilograms of banned substances were seized.

According to the materials of the criminal case, on February 3, 2024, Alexei Pakholvak left two packages of drugs at the market on Kurtuluş Street in Kyrenia. Further investigation revealed from the CCTV camera recordings that the packages with substances were taken by Kyrenia residents Vladislav Alistratov and Ruslan Predeyn.

During the search conducted in Vladislav Alistratov's house, a large quantity of various narcotic substances was also found. At the same time, the police stated that nothing illegal was found during the search at Ruslan Predeyn's house.

It is known that all three detainees voluntarily gave statements and confessed to their crimes. Earlier, the court had already decided to detain the suspects for 8 days.
