Temperature will rise by 2-3°C above normal: weather in TRNC on May 10

According to the Department of Meteorology of the TRNC, Friday, May 10, the region is under low pressure and hot, humid air. Meteorologists promise variable cloudiness with no precipitation.

The air temperature will rise by 2-3 degrees above seasonal climatic norms. In some regions, it will cool down to 24°C, while the maximum temperature will be around 34°C.

The wind will be north-eastern, of moderate strength, with occasional strong gusts. Nevertheless, no storms are expected today.

Two weather warnings are in effect in Northern Cyprus. There is a high probability of forest fires and a moderate level of ultraviolet radiation in the country.

It is advisable not to stay under the sun for more than 20 minutes, especially from 11:00 to 16:00, without taking necessary precautions.

Northern coast: Kyrenia – 26°C, Lapta – 24°C, Akdeniz - 29°C, Alevkaya - 30°C, Esentepe - 26°C.

Western coast: Lefke – 28°C, Güzelyurt – 34°C.

Central part: Nicosia – 33°C, Ercan – 33°C.

Eastern coast: Famagusta – 28°C, Iskele – 30°C.

Karpas: Yenierenköy – 28°C.
