Air Temperature Will Reach 42°C: Weather in TRNC for July 8

According to the TRNC Department of Meteorology, on Monday, July 8, the region will continue to be affected by low pressure and hot humid air. Meteorologists forecast clear, slightly cloudy weather.

The air temperature will rise 3-5°C above the seasonal average. The hottest weather today is expected in Nicosia, Güzelyurt, and Lefke, reaching up to 41-42°C, while the "coolest" temperatures will be in Lapta and Famagusta, around 36°C.

The wind will be southwest, of moderate strength, with occasional strong gusts. No storms are expected today.

There are two meteorological warnings in effect for Northern Cyprus. The risk of wildfires and the level of ultraviolet radiation remain very high.

Avoid staying in direct sunlight for more than 10 minutes, especially from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, without taking necessary precautions.
