Air Temperature Returns to Seasonal Norms: Weather in TRNC on June 17
According to the TRNC Department of Meteorology, on Monday, June 17, the region will continue to be affected by low pressure and hot, humid air. Meteorologists predict clear weather with variable cloudiness and no precipitation.
The heat that persisted in Northern Cyprus for the past two weeks has subsided. Air temperatures have returned to seasonal norms. The maximum temperature will reach "only" 36°C, with the highest temperatures expected in Nicosia, Ercan, and Güzelyurt.
The wind will be southwest and moderate in strength. No storms are expected today.
Two warnings are currently in effect for Northern Cyprus. The risk of wildfires remains very high. The level of ultraviolet radiation is also very high.
It is advised not to stay under the sun for more than 10 minutes, especially between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, without taking necessary precautions.
