TFR donated 33,000 TL to Heartbeat after the traditional mulled wine evening in Lapta
The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Foreign Residents Association (TFR) held its traditional mulled wine evening on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the Bluesong Restaurant in Lapta, Northern Cyprus.
The event was organized with the support of "Santa Claus" Horst Gutowski, events manager Pamela Chersich, and other association volunteers. Participants gathered to enjoy northern mulled wine (glögg) and festive snacks, prepared and provided by TFR members. Each guest was offered a free serving of glögg.
During the gathering, representatives of the charitable organization Heartbeat North Cyprus Cancer Charity Trust received a donation of 33,000 TL. These funds were raised at a charity dinner and dance through a lottery organized by TFR.
Theresa Tsefa, on behalf of Heartbeat, expressed gratitude to TFR for the donation and wished attendees a Merry Christmas. The transfer of funds was confirmed by representatives of both parties.
For residents of Northern Cyprus, this signifies continued support for local charitable initiatives funded by contributions collected within resident and visitor communities on the island.
