The ambassador explained that Turkey has allocated around 779 million Turkish lira to bring the TRNC up to speed with Turkey's advancements in digitalization.

“Soon, we will connect our Turkish Cypriot brothers and sisters through Turkey’s e-government mobile app,” the ambassador wrote on his social media account.

He added that the digitalization of TRNC’s public institutions will allow residents to save both time and resources when accessing government services.

“Together with the TRNC government and relevant institutions, we are rolling out a broad range of digital projects—from population and citizenship services to customs procedures, hospital appointments, and consular services,” Yasin Ekrem Serim emphasized.

It was also previously reported that Turkey’s Grand National Assembly Foreign Affairs Committee approved an agreement to offer consular assistance to TRNC citizens. This will allow Turkish Cypriots to access consular services for all matters in any country where Turkey has a diplomatic mission.
