The regions of Valencia (159) and Costa Blanca (89) boast the highest number of environmentally clean beaches. In Mallorca, only 20 beaches received this prestigious certification.
Greece ranked second in the ratings, with 596 quality-certified swimming spots and marinas, while Turkey completes the top three leaders with 567 awarded Blue Flags. Italy (457) and France (403) also made it into the top five.
Earlier reports highlighted Cyprus, where 76 beaches and two marinas—Limassol Marina and Ayia Napa Marina—were honored with the international quality label this year.
