Signalized Intersection to Be Installed at Famagusta Bus Terminal
The Famagusta Municipality is moving forward with its project to install traffic lights at the intersection of Mustafa Kemal Boulevard and the bus terminal.
As part of this project, which began in January, a signalized intersection will be created to ensure the safe movement of both vehicles and pedestrians. Additionally, the intersection will include a push-button crossing system for added pedestrian safety.
Once the signalized intersection is completed, there are plans to widen Mustafa Kemal Boulevard to four lanes. This will help alleviate the traffic congestion caused by the dense development around Market Square and the bus terminal, particularly on Thursdays.
Recently, Famagusta Mayor Suleyman Ulucay, along with members of the Municipal Council's traffic committee, visited the intersection where construction is underway.
