High UV Alert: Weather Forecast for Northern Cyprus on May 8
According to the TRNC Department of Meteorology, high atmospheric pressure and hot, humid air in the upper layers of the atmosphere are expected over Northern Cyprus on Thursday, May 8.
The forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with no rainfall. Some areas may experience fog in the early morning hours.
Temperatures will be 2–3°C above seasonal averages, ranging between 26°C and 33°C across most of the country. Winds will blow from the northwest at a moderate strength.
Meteorologists have issued two warnings for Northern Cyprus. There is a heightened risk of natural wildfires in the region due to dry conditions.
UV levels will be high, and residents are advised to avoid direct sun exposure for longer than 15 minutes.

• Eastern Coast:
Gazimağusa – 27°C, Iskele – 29°C
• Karpas Peninsula:
Yenierenkoy – 26°C
