Traffic Accidents in Northern Cyprus Result in Nearly 3.5 Million TL in Damages
Over the past week, 65 traffic accidents occurred on Northern Cyprus roads, leaving 29 people injured. The total damage caused by these accidents amounted to 3 million 485 thousand Turkish lira.

According to the weekly police report, 21 accidents each took place in Nicosia and Famagusta, 14 in Kyrenia, 6 in Iskele, and 3 in Guzelyurt.
During road inspections throughout the week, 3,303 traffic violations were identified. The most common offense was speeding, with 1,027 incidents reported. Additionally, 73 drivers were caught operating vehicles under the influence of alcohol.
As a result of these checks, 292 vehicles were prohibited from driving, and 7 drivers were arrested.
