Flights Suspended at Ercan Airport Due to Air Traffic Controllers' Strike

An air traffic controllers' strike has begun at Ercan Airport in Northern Cyprus. This was announced by Arslan Bıçaklı, Chairman of the Cyprus Turkish Trade Union Federation.
According to him, the air traffic controllers' union, which is part of the federation, declared the protest in support of the struggle against the "Fiber Optic Communication Protocol." The strike started today in the airport's control tower.
As a result of the action, aircraft take-offs and landings have been suspended. Bıçaklı stated that the protest would not be limited to Ercan Airport and could spread to other departments.
