At Ercan Airport, two-dimensional models of Rauf Denktaş and Fazıl Küçük were installed
On the occasion of the anniversary of the death of the first President-founder of the TRNC, Rauf Raif Denktaş, and the leader of the struggle for the freedom of Turkish Cypriots, Dr. Fazıl Küçük, illuminated panels have been installed at Ercan Airport.
According to information provided by the management of T&T Airport, the illuminated panel featuring the images of the two national heroes is placed in the departure section for passengers. Additionally, two-dimensional models of the leaders have been set up in front of the light panel, allowing every passenger to take a photo as a memory.
"These are two of our leaders united by the national cause of Cyprus. Rauf Raif Denktaş and Dr. Fazıl Küçük adhered to their ideals throughout their lives and fought until the end, resolutely and devotedly, without any deviations. With gratitude, longing, and compassion, we commemorate our founding president Rauf R. Denktaş and the freedom fighter Dr. Fazıl Küçük on the anniversary of their deaths. May their souls rest in peace," stated T&T Airport Operations General Manager M. Serhat Özçelik.
