On Saturday, August 30, 2025, an incident occurred in the Alsancak area that alarmed local residents. A passerby noticed a boy of about six years old on the roadside without adult supervision. Upon finding the child, a citizen named Hüseyin Çakır immediately reported the situation and took the boy to the nearest Lapta police station.

According to the witness, the boy looked lost and confused. It was clear that he did not understand how he ended up on the roadway, which posed a serious threat to his safety. Thanks to Çakır’s timely intervention, the child was unharmed and was immediately handed over to law enforcement officers.

The police, after receiving the report, promptly began identifying the child and searching for his parents. Within a few hours, it was established that the boy, presumably of foreign origin, indeed lives in the area with his family. On the same day, the parents were located, and the child returned home.

Official sources clarified that the boy was not subjected to violence and his health was not at risk. Preliminary information suggests he accidentally left home and ended up on the street unattended. However, the police will further investigate the circumstances to rule out possible negligence or oversight by the adults.

The incident sparked public concern and discussions about the need for parents to pay closer attention to their children, especially near busy roads and high-traffic areas. Local residents on social media expressed gratitude to the caring passerby and emphasized the importance of such examples of civic responsibility.

The police reminded parents of the need for strict supervision of young children and stressed that even a few minutes without attention can lead to tragic consequences.

Thus, the incident ended safely, but it served as a serious warning about the importance of paying attention to children’s safety in everyday life.
