In Antalya, the House of Cypriot Turks was opened
The President of the TRNC, Ersin Tatar, opened the House of Cypriot Turks of 1974, built by the Municipality of Kepez in Antalya.
According to the press service of the head of Northern Cyprus, the House of Cypriot Turks, built to preserve the historical contribution of the Anatolian Battery Factory to the "Operation Peace" in 1974, narrates the history, culture, and years of national struggle of the TRNC.
In his speech at the opening ceremony, Mayor of Kepez Hakan Tütüncü reminded that the national battery factory was established in this region after the "Operation Peace" in 1974. At that time, the factory produced elements and batteries needed by the Turkish Armed Forces. According to the mayor, the newly opened House of Cypriot Turks will attempt to convey the events of that period.
Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin also emphasized that Cyprus is of great importance to the country and is Turkey's largest national issue.
The President of the TRNC, in turn, reminded that as a result of the "Operation Peace" in 1974, Cypriot Turks, who fought against the British and the Greek-Cypriot duo, gained freedom.
The head of Northern Cyprus expressed his wish for such houses to appear in every region of Turkey. "We are an integral and inseparable part of the great Turkish nation," summarized the leader of the Turkish Cypriots.
