Fatal Crash in Balıkesir: Driver Killed After Car Hits Tree
Another fatal accident has been reported in Northern Cyprus, claiming the life of a 65-year-old driver in Balıkesir.
According to the police press office, the crash occurred yesterday around 5:00 PM on Hüseyin Özyiğit Street in Balıkesir.
The driver lost control of his vehicle, veered off the road, and crashed into a cypress tree on the right side of the car.
He suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.
This tragedy raises the number of road fatalities in Northern Cyprus this year to nine.
