Gunfire in Çatalköy: Parked Car Shot at, Suspect Arrested
A parked car was riddled with bullets in Çatalköy over the weekend, and a young man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
According to the police press office, the shooting took place around 1:00 p.m. on Sunday on Mersinli Street. For reasons still under investigation, a 21-year-old man fired several shots from a handgun at a car parked in the garden of a residential property. Authorities confirmed that the suspect does not hold a license to carry a firearm.
Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident. However, the vehicle sustained significant damage. The suspect was taken into custody at the scene, and a police investigation is underway to determine the motive behind the shooting.
