Ataturk bust unveiled in Famagusta's Köprülü village
TRNC President Ersin Tatar inaugurated the bust of Ataturk, which was renovated by Beyarmudu Municipality in Köprülü village in Famagusta.
In his speech at the ceremony, the northern Cypriot leader said that children are the most valuable asset of the country's future. The President also recalled that the TRNC celebrates the 41st anniversary of its foundation on 15 November.
According to the Head of State the unveiling of the bust of Ataturk on the eve of the holiday shows that Turkish Cypriots are committed to the values of the founder of the Turkish Republic and defend their national cultural values and their state.
- As the great leader Mustafa Kemal Ataturk said, independence is our basic character, we will never give up the state of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus,’ Ersin Tatar said.
