In the Ancient Harbor of Kyrenia, lanterns have been installed
The installation of lighting fixtures on the streets of the Ancient Harbor in Kyrenia has been completed. Now, there is illumination even in the most remote corners of the harbor.
The progress of the improvement works in the nooks of the Ancient Harbor was shared by the Mayor of Kyrenia, Murat Shenkul, on his social media page.
According to the mayor, the municipal services first upgraded the street infrastructure of the port, then renewed the pavement, and now the process of installing lighting fixtures has been completed.
It is worth noting that the ancient harbor of Kyrenia reopened after a year-long reconstruction in December of last year. The restoration works on the port began on December 1, 2022. Initially, the works were planned to be completed in May, then the opening date of the renovated harbor was postponed to September, and then to early October.
Previously, the authorities promised to install umbrellas for the traders in the port, and also took control of the issue of vehicular access to the harbor.
