In a car accident in Northern Cyprus, four people were injured, including two children
A major accident occurred in Northern Cyprus. Four people were injured in the car accident, including two children.
According to the police press service, the accident happened yesterday evening around 22:00 on the main road from Famagusta to Nicosia. A 26-year-old woman was driving westbound. Near Haspolat, the driver lost control, causing the car to skid. Subsequently, it crashed into the concrete barrier on the median strip and overturned.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the vehicle, passenger Firuza Ibrahimova, and two young girls - 10-year-old Melek Djoraeva and 7-year-old Yasemin Rashedi - were injured. The injured were taken to the Dr. Burhan Nalbantoglu State Hospital in Nicosia, where they are still receiving treatment.
The police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
