A motorcyclist died in a traffic accident in Yeşilyurt
Another fatal traffic accident has occurred in Northern Cyprus. A 57-year-old biker died in Yeşilyurt.
According to the police press service, the accident occurred yesterday evening, around 16:50, on Edgevit Street. A 39-year-old car driver was traveling eastbound and collided with a motorcycle traveling in the same direction in front of the student dormitory.
Behind the wheel of the two-wheeled vehicle was 57-year-old Zihni Yılmaz. At the time of the accident, the biker was changing lanes, giving way to an ambulance.
As a result of the incident, the motorcyclist sustained injuries incompatible with life and died at the scene of the accident.
The police are investigating the causes of the fatal accident. The number of traffic accident victims in Northern Cyprus has risen to 12 since the beginning of the year.
