Culture House reopens in Esentepe after reconstruction
The Culture House (Esentepe Kültür Sarayı) has reopened in Esentepe following reconstruction. The opening was timed to coincide with World Theatre Day on March 27.
The event was held in cooperation with the Çatalköy–Esentepe Municipality and the TRNC State Theatres. The opening ceremony was accompanied by a performance of the play 'Gemilerde Talim Var', presented by the Kıbrıs Açık Tiyatro team.
The celebration was attended by Deputy Speaker of Parliament Fazilet Özdenefe, MPs, CTP leader Sıla Usar İncirli, municipal representatives, local community heads, and numerous guests.
Mayor of Çatalköy–Esentepe Ceyhun Kırok noted that the renovated cultural center is equipped with modern technology and will serve as a multifunctional venue for cultural events in the region.
During the event, State Theatre actor Halit Tumkan also read the international message for World Theatre Day.
Following the official part, the audience enjoyed the play, which received a warm reception. According to the organizers, the renovated cultural center will become an important space for the development of art and cultural life in the region.
