Illegal animal transport intercepted in Famagusta: nine calves seized

Law enforcement authorities in the Famagusta area uncovered an illegal transport of livestock. During an inspection, a vehicle carrying nine calves without the required permits was stopped.
According to the police, the animals were being transported in violation of existing rules and regulations. As a result, the calves were seized and an investigation was launched against those involved. The animals were handed over to the relevant services for further procedures.
The authorities emphasise that such inspections will continue, especially amid increased control over animal movement and compliance with sanitary standards.
