Famagusta Selects the Most Beautiful Balcony
Famagusta has concluded its municipal competition to find the most beautiful balcony and garden. The showcase of city facades was held under the slogan, "The beauty of our gardens and balconies brings smiles around us."
The competition was organized by Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) in collaboration with the Center for Social Education and the Famagusta Municipality. Residents submitted photographs of their balconies and front gardens for the contest. The entries were judged by faculty members from EMU's Departments of Architecture and Interior Architecture.
In the competition, the award for "Most Beautiful Balcony" was given to Sevilay Küçüksu, while Medina Daştan won in the "Most Beautiful Garden" category.
During the award ceremony at the EMU rectorate, Famagusta Mayor Süleyman Uluçay highlighted the longstanding successful partnership between the municipality and the university. EMU Rector Hasan Kılıç emphasized the university's commitment to supporting the city in all aspects.
