Preparations Underway for Girne Fest 25
Mayor of Girne, Murat Şenkul, has announced that preparations have begun for Girne Fest 25, which will take place for the third time this year.
In a social media post, the mayor shared that, for the first time and at the request of local youth, students studying abroad will also be able to participate in the festival, as they are expected to return to the country in September.
From September 5 to 7, Girne’s West Nature Park will host a vibrant concert series featuring both local and international music groups. As part of the Girne Fest 25 celebrations, the Girne Amphitheatre will also host four major concerts and four theatrical performances over a 40-day period.
Mayor Şenkul highlighted that public opinion plays an important role in selecting the festival's performers. He invited “everyone who feels young” to share their suggestions on which bands or artists they’d like to see.
“Please let us know which local and international performers you’d like to see at the West Park Concert. We’re confident that our administration and the Culture and Arts Committee will take your preferences into account,” he wrote.
