In Kyrenia, a drunk man attempted to set two cars on fire

The Kyrenia police detained a 39-year-old man who, while in a state of severe alcohol intoxication, attempted to deliberately set fire to two cars belonging to another person.
The incident occurred on January 6, 2026, at around 17:00. According to police data, the detainee had 160 mg of alcohol in his blood, which significantly exceeds permissible limits. The man attempted arson but failed to carry out his plan.
The suspect was arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.
