Seven Illegal Migrants Found in Truck Trailer in Kyrenia
Authorities in Kyrenia have arrested five suspected smugglers at the city’s tourist port after they illegally transported seven migrants into the TRNC. The migrants were secretly brought into Northern Cyprus inside a truck trailer.
According to the police, further investigations led to the arrest of five men, aged 32, 37, 46, 48, and 61, who are suspected of facilitating the illegal entry and possibly being involved in human trafficking. Preliminary findings indicate that the suspects smuggled the migrants into Northern Cyprus for financial gain.
The investigation is ongoing.
