Another suspect arrested in Girne in connection with a violent assault case
The police continue to investigate the case of a group attack in which a 35-year-old man was injured.
According to law enforcement authorities, Y.Y. (35 years old) was beaten by a group of individuals — D.B., S.F.D., A.A. (27 years old), Ş.B. (34 years old), and S.I. (33 years old). The attackers struck various parts of the victim’s body.
As a result of the incident, the man suffered two broken teeth and a fractured nasal bone. All the mentioned suspects had previously been detained by the police.
During further investigation, another possible participant in the attack was identified — A.T. (39 years old). He was wanted and was arrested on February 6, 2026, in Girne.
The police report that the investigation into the case is ongoing.
