New Pedestrian Traffic Light Activated on Semih Sancar Street in Kyrenia
A new pedestrian traffic light on Semih Sancar Street in Kyrenia was activated this morning. Before its launch, authorities tested how drivers responded to the new system at the intersection, and the trial was deemed successful.
Kyrenia Mayor Murat Şenkul announced the activation of the pedestrian signal at this busy crossing on social media.

“We were very pleased to see that drivers immediately started following the traffic light signals during testing. To ensure safety, both pedestrians and drivers should remain extra cautious in this area,” he wrote.
Additionally, warning signs and speed limit markings have been installed ahead of the new traffic light on Semih Sancar Street.
