Power outage scheduled in Güzelyurt and nearby villages on Thursday

The Kıb-Tek company announced that on Thursday, October 30 a planned electricity outage will take place in Güzelyurt and several nearby settlements. The reason is preventive and repair work on power supply lines.
According to the announcement, there will be no electricity from 09:00 to 15:00, and the outage will affect the following areas:
Güneşköy and pumping stations, Eroza tourist resort, Gülkent dormitories and Cyprus University of Health Sciences, industrial and terminal zones of Güzelyurt, Aydınköy and its northern part, Aydınköy–Gaziveren road, Gaziveren village and adjacent areas (including football field, Mümtaz Rest. cafe, Tepe Mah., Afrodit and Seagirt Sitesi areas, Livadya Rest. and Çiftlikevi Rest.), part of Gaziveren and its pumping stations and facilities.
Additionally, the outage will cover Güzelyurt Çarşı, open market, festival square, ring road, Güzelyurt–Mevlevi and Kumköy routes, as well as the villages of Yayla, Kumköy, Akçay, Zümrütköy, Yukarı and Aşağı Bostancı, including the Bostancı border checkpoint. The wastewater treatment plant of Güzelyurt Municipality, water pumping stations, veterinary and agricultural departments, and the research institute of Lefke European University will also be left without power.
Kıb-Tek urged residents to take the outage into account when planning the operation of equipment and household appliances.
