Fires broke out in Yenierenköy, Lefkoşa and Serdarlı

Yesterday, fires were recorded in various areas of Northern Cyprus, resulting in material damage. In all cases, the cause of the fire was a short circuit.
Yenierenköy
A fire broke out in a residential house due to a short circuit in the electrical wiring of the distribution panel. The fire was promptly extinguished by fire brigade units.
Lefkoşa
A parked car with license plate UJ 074 caught fire in the parking area of one of the banks. The cause was a short circuit in the electrical system of the engine compartment.
Witnesses took initial measures to extinguish the fire, after which firefighters arrived at the scene and carried out cooling operations. As a result of the fire, the engine compartment of the vehicle was damaged.
Serdarlı
In one of the houses, a fire occurred in the kitchen — the extractor fan motor caught fire due to a short circuit. The residents first attempted to deal with the fire, after which firefighters completed the extinguishing and carried out cooling. The kitchen sustained damage.
The police continue to investigate all three incidents.
