A 58-year-old man died under an overturned truck in Karaagac
In the Karaagac area (Esentepe, Kyrenia), 58-year-old Birgül Kaymakamturunları tragically died on Monday morning.
According to police, at around 08:00 he was in the yard of his home on Pınarlı Street attempting to repair his truck. The man lifted the vehicle with a jack and crawled underneath it, but at some point the jack slipped and the truck tipped over onto him.
Kaymakamturunları sustained severe injuries. Despite the efforts of the arriving medical team, he could not be saved — his death was pronounced at the scene.
The police have launched an investigation to establish the exact circumstances of the incident and determine whether any safety violations were committed.
