In Kyrenia, a joint maritime exercise was held between the Coast Guard of Turkey and the TRNC
As part of the protocol signed between the governments of Turkey and the TRNC, a joint maritime exercise of the Mediterranean Regional Coast Guard Command took place in Kyrenia.
The joint port visit and maneuvers took place from December 11 to 15. To enhance bilateral cooperation and exchange knowledge and experience in performing coast guard duties, the patrol boats TCSG-92 and TCSG-103 participated in the exercises.
During the exercises, ship stoppage and boarding, vessel/boat management, sea safety, intervention in social incidents at sea/port, handling of illegal migration, search and rescue of missing persons at sea were practiced, and medical evacuation training was also conducted.
