DRUNK DRIVERS HAD A FIGHT AND BEAT A PASSERBY
In Kyrenia, drunk drivers and passengers of two cars had a fight over the accident. A 50-year-old woman accidentally passed by.
According to the police press service, the incident occurred the night before, around 10:30 p.m. Two 22- and 28-year-old drivers, who were intoxicated, were injured in a minor car collision. The fight was joined by passengers of vehicles who were also inebriated. The rioters reportedly beat each other with their feet and hands and one of the rioters used the wrench as a weapon.
The fight resulted in a broken nose. Also injured was a 50-year-old female pedestrian who happened to be at the scene.
The police arrested two participants in the conflict. Criminal proceedings were initiated against another fighter.
The police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
