KoopBank Faces Crisis Again: Employees Not Paid 13th Salary, Strike Possible

At KoopBank (Cooperative Central Bank of Northern Cyprus), the situation has escalated once again. According to local media, in several subsidiary companies of the bank, employees have still not received their 13th salary, causing sharp dissatisfaction among workers.
Trade unions report that funding issues within the bank’s structures continue, and negotiations with management have so far yielded no results. If payments are not made in the near future, employees are considering the possibility of strike action.
It is noted that this concerns not the head office, but the bank’s holdings and subsidiaries; however, the situation is already causing concern among clients.
Official comments from KoopBank management have not been provided at this time. Developments are expected in the coming days.
