Serious traffic accident involving three cars in Lapta: two injured

In the evening, a chain traffic accident occurred in Lapta, Northern Cyprus, resulting in two people being injured. The incident took place on Marshal Fevzi Çakmak Street, near the supermarket parking area.
According to police data, the driver of the car with license plate ZM 882, a 41-year-old man identified as B.Ö., failed to yield while exiting the parking lot to a vehicle moving along the main road. As a result, his car collided with the vehicle MJ 001, driven by A.G.D. The impact caused both vehicles to lose control: ZM 882 was thrown into the opposite lane, where it crashed into a third car with license plate VM 061. Afterward, MJ 001 hit the already damaged car of B.Ö. again.
Police officers and an ambulance arrived at the scene. Both drivers — B.Ö. and A.G.D. — sustained injuries of varying severity and were taken to Dr. Akçiçek Hospital in Girne. After receiving the necessary medical treatment, the injured were discharged.
The Northern Cyprus police have launched an investigation into the incident. Experts are examining the damaged vehicles and analyzing surveillance footage to determine the exact circumstances of the accident. Preliminary findings indicate that the cause of the accident was a violation of traffic rules when exiting a secondary road.
