The police of Northern Cyprus continue to investigate four separate cases of sudden and unnatural death that occurred in Lefkoşa, Göçmenköy, Paşaköy, and Gonyeli. Law enforcement authorities have published preliminary results of autopsies and medical examinations.

Lefkoşa: man found dead in association premises

In Lefkoşa, around 11:30, 39-year-old Ozan Jin was found dead in the premises of a public association.

According to the autopsy results, the cause of death was cardiac tamponade caused by rupture of the left ventricle. The investigation continues.

Göçmenköy: two-month-old child died

In the Göçmenköy area, two-month-old Errel Shine Mendi suddenly felt unwell at home and died around 03:30.

The exact cause of death will be determined after an autopsy. Police are investigating.

Paşaköy: death from cardiovascular disease

52-year-old Derviş Ayali was found dead in his home on January 28, 2026.

According to the autopsy, the cause of death was a cardiovascular disease. Investigative actions continue.

Gonyeli: cause was heart failure

In Gonyeli, on January 28, 2026, 67-year-old Hanife Azak was found dead in her home.

According to the medical report, death resulted from heart failure, hypertension, and arrhythmia. Police continue to check the circumstances.
