Seasonal sales have started in Lefkoşa (Taşkınköy) — shops are actively clearing stocks
In the Taşkınköy district of Lefkoşa, seasonal sales began in early September: shops are offering promotions such as “3 for 2,” “1+1,” “half price on label,” and others to clear warehouse stocks and prepare for the autumn-winter season, reports KIBRIS correspondent.
According to shop owners, discounts attract customers after the quiet summer period. Süvari manager Huri Bavik noted that men’s suits in their store start from 3,500 Turkish lira, tuxedos from 15,000 TL, and shoes are sold with a “half price” discount. Burçin Dolmacı from Hakke said they offer “2+1 free” and that due to economic difficulties customers demand even bigger discounts; for example, an item priced at 1,900 TL can now be purchased for 900–1,000 TL, and one customer bought three items for 500–600 TL. Arzu Engin from Tarzım Elite said that their promotions (including 50% off the second item) are valid until September 6, after which the store will begin displaying the autumn collection.
Practical benefit for residents of Northern Cyprus — the opportunity to buy summer and mid-season clothing at significantly reduced prices. According to retailers, sales also allow shops to free up space for autumn-winter collections and stabilize turnover.
