A 60-year-old suspect was detained in Meriç for stealing two sacks of barley
According to the police, in the village of Meriç, two sacks were stolen from a pile of harvested barley stored on a football field. The incident was discovered when the owner of the crop reported it; during the investigation, law enforcement identified and detained a 60-year-old man as the suspect.
The police report that the sacks of barley were kept on the football field and belonged to one of the village residents. The exact time of the theft and possible accomplices are being investigated; the investigation continues, and the case is being forwarded to court as evidence accumulates.
