The "Ada Kıbrıs" exhibition opened in Mersin on the anniversary of the TRNC
On November 18, the "Ada Kıbrıs" ("Island of Cyprus") exhibition opened at the Mersin Marina, timed to the celebration of the 42nd anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). The project was implemented under the patronage of the Deputy Prime Ministry, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment, and with the support of the TRNC Consulate General in Mersin.
The exhibition includes special photographic works reflecting the natural beauty, historical heritage, cultural values, and gastronomy of Northern Cyprus.
At the opening, the TRNC Consul General in Mersin, Erek Çagatay, and Tourism Coordinator Kazım Türkan spoke. They noted that Northern Cyprus is not only a tourist destination but also an island with a unique culture, history, and nature.
Mehmet Günaslan, director of Mersin Marina, reported the venue's readiness to host similar events. The ceremony was attended by Tamay Özberber, head of the Mersin branch of the Cyprus-Turkish Cultural Association.
According to the organizers, the "Ada Kıbrıs" project is aimed at promoting TRNC tourism both in Turkey and abroad. For residents of Northern Cyprus, this means additional exposure of the region's tourist potential to the target audience in the neighboring province of Turkey.
