The event was attended by Nazım Çavuşoğlu, the Minister of National Education, Hüseyin Amcaoğlu, the Mayor of Gönyeli-Alayköy, and the school’s administration. The new complex aims to support the physical and mental development of the students.
The construction of the multi-purpose sports complex was made possible through the collaboration of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Nicosia, the Office of Development and Economic Cooperation, the Gönyeli-Alayköy Municipality, the Department of Sports, the Girne Inner Wheel Club, the Alayköy Primary School Parents' Association, and local business representatives.
Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that Alayköy Primary School had long been in need of modernization, but thanks to this collaboration, significant improvements have been achieved. Looking ahead, the school also plans to build four additional classrooms.
