In Nicosia and Ercan, temperatures will rise to 40°C: Weather in the TRNC on August 15

According to the TRNC Meteorological Department, on Thursday, August 15, the region will continue to experience low pressure and hot humid air. Clear, slightly cloudy weather without precipitation will persist in Northern Cyprus.

The air temperature will again rise by 2-3°C above the seasonal climatic norms. The hottest weather today is expected in Nicosia and Ercan - up to 40°C, on the northern coast - 33-36°C.

The wind is southwest of medium strength. No storms are expected today.

Two meteorological warnings are still in effect in Northern Cyprus. The country remains at very high risk of natural fires. The level of ultraviolet radiation is also very high.

It is not recommended to stay in the sun for more than 10 minutes, especially from 11:00 to 16:00, without taking the necessary precautions.

• Eastern coast: Famagusta - 36°C, Iskele - 37°C
