Large-Scale Inspections in Nicosia and İskele: 13 Detained, Over 550 Fines Issued

During police inspections in Lefkoşa (Nicosia) and İskele, 13 people were detained, and over 550 drivers were penalized for traffic violations. A total of 57 vehicles were taken off the road.

Lefkoşa: 10 Detained for Lack of Residence Permits

In the capital, police officers inspected entertainment venues, alcohol retailers, night clubs, coffee shops, workers' dormitories, and other public gathering places.

As a result, 10 individuals found to be in the country without legal residence status were detained.

İskele: Detainment for Public Order Violation

In İskele, inspections targeted entertainment venues and public areas. One person was detained for disturbing the peace — while intoxicated, they were shouting loudly and causing a disturbance.
